How to reactivate the "Event log maximum size is reached" alert Pop up
How dose one reactivate the alert Pop up that appears when the Events Log is full? I used to get an alert Pop up informing me that the Log had reached its max. size as specified in Computer Managment Console allowing me to save and clear the log. Now the Log file fills without notification.1 person needs an answerI do too

Try the following Microsoft KB article:"How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP" <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427>Skip about 2/3 down to the "How to manage Log Contents" section.HTH, JW

Thanks for trying. But in the How to Set Log Size and Overwrite Options in the MMC, that are mentiond in KB308427, their is no option to enable "notify me when maximum log size is reached" and that is a feature that is active by default when the OS is first installed.
